TEXT US YOUR THOUGHTS!

Good2Game Radio is finally back, and apparently the world waited patiently for us to return just so we could talk about Spider-Man! Tony, Jaime, and Vance dive headfirst into a FULL SPOILER discussion of *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*, breaking down why this might be their favorite Spidey yet, the darker story, the emotional gut punches, and the surprisingly hilarious Spider-Man/Punisher bromance. We debate Peter’s questionable life choices, his mutant-suppressing inhibitor, Jean Grey’s mysterious powers, and whether Spider-Man’s famous “do the right thing” instincts finally took a vacation. Then things get REALLY nerdy as the crew investigates MJ and Ned’s missing memories, Jean Grey’s possible role in restoring them, and what that final handshake could mean for the future of the MCU. Add some marital advice, questionable snack purchases, and plenty of Good2Game nonsense, and you’ve got one seriously tangled web!

00:00:24.40
Jaime G
I'm there.

00:00:25.37
Tony Sisk

00:00:32.79
Jaime G

00:00:51.16
Jaime G
And then the week after, was like, I can't podcast. I'm in the house, but none of my furniture is here, so I didn't have anything, right?

00:00:59.32
Tony Sisk

Jaime G

00:01:20.15
Sentfrmheaven
I don't know. like

00:01:22.33
Tony Sisk
You finished without your chores? Yeah.

00:01:27.54
Jaime G
I would have expected that to be to be fair, but she said, like dead serious face, she said, i thought you weren't going to do that anymore. Haven't they kicked you off already?

00:01:41.94
Sentfrmheaven
Now we saved your seat.

00:01:43.70

00:01:48.81
Sentfrmheaven

00:01:48.79
Tony Sisk
No, no, we didn't kick you off.

00:01:49.51
Sentfrmheaven
Oh, yeah.

00:01:51.61
Tony Sisk
we We needed a we needed we needed your ah your your expertise. You're too valuable to let go.

00:01:58.21
Jaime G
it's it's I was going to say, you you need the eye candy

00:01:59.72
Sentfrmheaven
That's right, that's right. He replaced one.

00:02:02.52
Tony Sisk
Right? Y'all are showing a lot of skin tonight.

00:02:04.16
Sentfrmheaven
All right, all right.

00:02:04.50
Jaime G
for a podcast, right?

00:02:06.47
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

00:02:09.05
Jaime G
I haven't found all my clothes either.

00:02:14.78
Tony Sisk
So how's the city?

00:02:15.32
Jaime G
All right.

00:02:15.82
Tony Sisk
San Antonio, right?

00:02:18.42
Jaime G
San Antonio. I live a little bit northwest of San Antonio. It's a nice area. We've been to the Riverwalk. It is blazing hot down here.

00:02:29.69
Jaime G
um There's a lot of traffic depending on the areas that you get into. But I was able to catch up with a listener two of our podcast.

00:02:40.06
Tony Sisk
Really?

00:02:41.46
Jaime G
Yeah.

00:02:42.64
Sentfrmheaven
Oh, nice, nice.

00:02:43.13
Jaime G
You might remember J-Rod, who's actually in the in the draft this year, and he's not doing too well, but I was ah texting him and I said, hey I'm moving to San Antonio. and he said, like, yeah, so am i And I thought he was joking.

00:02:58.94
Jaime G
No, he moved here the same week as I did. So we cut up for lunch yesterday. And he was right after lunch. Tony, you might get a kick of this. there was We literally had lunch right across the street from a place that was called The Gaming Den.

00:03:15.32
Jaime G
And he was telling like, yo, I just got into like, um, magic, the gathering because they're doing like a bunch of like, uh, superhero cards and final fantasy cards. Let's go buy some. I was like, man, if I do that, I'm going to be in trouble. So no, all you.

00:03:33.62
Tony Sisk
I thought you were going to say, yeah, I did

00:03:34.15
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:03:36.63
Sentfrmheaven
Right. ya

00:03:38.17
Jaime G
Yeah. Yeah. You, you would see me with a black eye or something, man.

00:03:42.33
Tony Sisk
ah

00:03:45.05
Tony Sisk
Wow. Cool. So, um, J rods in San Antonio too, huh?

00:03:47.68
Jaime G
Yep.

00:03:50.10
Tony Sisk
Okay. That's cool. Well, my, you know, my dad lives in San Antonio, so everybody's going to San Antonio.

00:03:51.90
Jaime G
Yep. kimo s three

00:03:57.51
Jaime G
Vandy Kitt, who's a listener, ah he also is like the organizer of the Kitt Kumite. He was originally from San Antonio. When I told him we're not where i'm ah I was moving, apparently he lived like maybe a couple exits from the same area that i'm I'm living in. So he was very familiar with like, oh, I know exactly where you're at. So it's such a small world.

00:04:22.45
Tony Sisk
Right?

00:04:22.70
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, a and um just to clarify, J-Rod isn't doing well in the draft. He's doing well in life. He's not doing well in the draft. Hey, when you said that, I instantly got sad until i realized you was talking about the draft.

00:04:35.77
Jaime G
Yeah. but

00:04:38.65
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

00:04:41.46
Tony Sisk
Speaking of the draft, before we get on to our main topic for tonight, I've had a ton of questions from listeners about

00:04:41.89
Jaime G
Yeah.

00:04:50.99
Tony Sisk
What's the standings? What's it look like so far in the draft?

00:04:54.74
Jaime G
Wait, wait, wait. So for any listener who's just tuning in right now, I'm actually, I committed to putting a monthly update every single month in Discord. So this tells me that these listeners are not on Discord. So Hop on. The conversation doesn't end when the podcast does.

00:05:14.33
Jaime G
But to answer the question, here here we go. The previous champ, Spidey Dude, he's sitting at an average of 43, guys. 43. The champ couldn't bring in 2026. He choked.

00:05:28.25
Jaime G
He picked Fable that got delayed. He picked Gears of War E-Day. Maybe that'll be something that'll save him in the near future, but he's sitting at a 43. Tony.

00:05:40.68
Jaime G
You're actually doing worse.

00:05:42.81
Tony Sisk
What?

00:05:45.72
Jaime G
I mean, you have Wolverine on your list, so it hasn't released.

00:05:48.15
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, Wolverine. Yeah.

00:05:49.98
Jaime G
You have Control Resonant that releases to ah releases a week after Wolverine. I think that game's going to get pushed out, my friend. You have Sorrows, Mouse P.I., and Blood of the Dawnwalker. So you've only had two releases hit the streets. So you're sitting at a 41. Vance...

00:06:09.03
Jaime G
vance He is top, top performer right now. Pokemon Pocopia, 89. Monster Hunter Stores, 386. Rianimal was 80. That's his lowest score.

00:06:21.64
Jaime G
Progmeta, 85. So Vance is on ah at an average of 85 right now. He's went leading the pack, really, at this point. I'm actually at the opposite end.

00:06:34.20
Jaime G
i'm so I'm sitting at a 21 score right now. ah And the reason for that is because I picked 007 First Light, which did amazingly well. But off my list, that's the only game that's released.

00:06:49.85
Jaime G
Phantom Blade Zero hasn't dropped. GTA 6 hasn't dropped, although that one's going to take me over the finish line. Ace Combat 8 hasn't dropped. And Valor Mortis hasn't dropped. So I'm not doing too hot.

00:07:05.06
Jaime G
J-Rod, who we were talking about, and he is now, he has four scores on the board because Marvel token, he picked, he actually, he managed to sneak that one in there before anybody else did. He picked Lego Batman, Super Meat Boy 3D, and Yoshi's Forbidden Book or something.

00:07:26.49
Jaime G
So he's got an average of 80.5 at this point. Not as good as Vance, but he still has Bradley the Badger to maybe push him up or put or keep him at 80. Because once you have four games, that is your lowest score that you can get, right? Because we're going to drop one.

00:07:45.21
Jaime G
And Danny, he picked Forza Horizon 6, which is oddly, guys, the highest scored game on Metacritic out of any of the games that we've picked.

00:07:50.52
Tony Sisk
Mm-hmm.

00:07:57.54
Jaime G
It has an average of 91. ah adventures of Elliot didn't do too well high on life too didn't do too well and Cthulhu the cosmic of this didn't do too well I think he's riding on Forza Horizon 6 and he's sitting at a 77 but he's got one more game to be released so Spidey dude 43 the champ choked Tony 41 you got a fighting chance Vance, 85, winning right now.

00:08:31.81
Jaime G
Jaime, my pick for the guy who's going to win the tournament this year with a 21.

00:08:39.30
Jaime G
J-Rod with an 80.5 and Danny with a 77. So I think it gets' still anybody's game at this point because, let's face it, Gcha6 is going to be a banger.

00:08:53.40
Jaime G
Phantom Blade is going to be a banger. Ace combat is going to be a banger. So at you know just call it. Jaime wins. The champ comes back.

00:09:01.04
Sentfrmheaven
I don't know because I read GTA that the devs are thinking about striking the day it releases. i don't know. That's putting the black eye on that.

00:09:07.38
Jaime G
Ah, what?

00:09:09.88
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah.

00:09:11.16
Jaime G
Oh, well.

00:09:12.50
Tony Sisk
What if GTA bombs?

00:09:12.76
Jaime G
Metacriti don't care.

00:09:16.66
Tony Sisk
what is it What if it isn't any good? What if it's like cyberpunk and it comes out and just glitches all over the place?

00:09:27.48
Jaime G
No, this game has been has been finished for a year now, man. They've just been troubleshooting it. I hope, right?

00:09:35.90
Sentfrmheaven
And, yeah, and, well, online won't release for, what, another couple months? So, I hope that storyline is strong.

00:09:41.53
Jaime G
Yeah. o It's OK, man. It'll still get a 95 without the online.

00:09:50.94
Tony Sisk
You got your fingers crossed.

00:09:51.93
Jaime G
Have you guys noticed, again, GTA 6 is going to drop in 2026. GTA 5 released on PlayStation 3, fellas.

00:10:05.21
Jaime G
PlayStation 3, we've had four, five. Wow. We've had a whole console generation in between.

00:10:15.22
Jaime G
This game's going to be a banger.

00:10:15.61
Tony Sisk
Yeah. this Yeah.

00:10:18.66
Sentfrmheaven
Oh, yeah, it's going bang all right.

00:10:20.60
Sentfrmheaven
Nice. I'm ready. Supergirl, super trash.

00:10:22.38
Tony Sisk
Yeah. All right. Cool. Thanks for that update. All right.

00:10:26.49
Sentfrmheaven
nice

00:10:27.67
Tony Sisk
So time for our main topic for tonight.

00:10:31.93
Sentfrmheaven
ready

00:10:32.52
Tony Sisk
It's been a while since we've podcasted.

00:10:33.05
Jaime G
Ready?

00:10:35.24
Tony Sisk
I think our last movie discussion was Supergirl.

00:10:39.29
Sentfrmheaven
so girl super trash

00:10:41.17
Tony Sisk
ah And I think Jaime, you, you can, I think you won the ah projection on the, the amount that that movie would earn because the cinematic release has ended for Spider, for Supergirl.

00:10:42.68
Jaime G
Did we? I

00:10:50.39
Jaime G
remember you, you, you, you were making, you were making fun of me.

00:10:56.51
Tony Sisk
Did I say Spidergirl?

00:10:57.19
Jaime G
Yeah. You were.

00:10:58.13
Tony Sisk
Supergirl.

00:10:58.74
Jaime G
yeah

00:10:59.77
Tony Sisk
Supergirl.

00:11:02.39
Tony Sisk
oh

00:11:02.68
Jaime G
you You guys were making fun of me because I said, it's probably going to make this much this first weekend, and then it's just going to dive. And you guys are like, your numbers are whack. Yeah.

00:11:17.91
Tony Sisk
Yeah, it ended up with like $128 million dollars or something.

00:11:18.53
Sentfrmheaven
Oh, man.

00:11:21.94
Tony Sisk
Very low.

00:11:23.79
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah. Yeah. I think all the actors and actresses got to pay back a little bit.

00:11:25.11
Jaime G
Yeah.

00:11:28.93
Sentfrmheaven
Okay.

00:11:28.79
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

00:11:29.62
Jaime G
ah

00:11:32.25
Tony Sisk
But that's not our main topic for tonight. Bad superhero movie is not our topic.

00:11:35.51
Jaime G
No.

00:11:37.50
Tony Sisk
Great superhero movie. Maybe, right? So, who who here has seen... Spider-Man, brand new day.

00:11:48.70
Sentfrmheaven
brand new day.

00:11:48.60
Tony Sisk
Everybody, right?

00:11:50.04
Sentfrmheaven
I've seen it.

00:11:50.71
Tony Sisk
Everybody?

00:11:52.94
Jaime G
it's it The question is it backwards. Who hasn't seen this in the whole country?

00:11:58.10
Tony Sisk
Who hasn't seen it more than once?

00:11:58.57
Sentfrmheaven
Right. Right.

00:12:02.62
Jaime G
Yeah, I mean, it's it's it's the hot ticket right now.

00:12:08.73
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah.

00:12:09.18
Tony Sisk
I think it crossed $1.6 billion dollar number. to Today or or yesterday. um and the in in less than two weeks.

00:12:24.31
Tony Sisk
So I guess it's on pace. I hear it's on pace to set the all-time record. So a flop, it is not.

00:12:33.43
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, I think so. Correct.

00:12:33.75
Jaime G
I mean, you're right.

00:12:34.50
Tony Sisk
I don't know how much money they spent making it, but they have recouped all that money ah very quickly.

00:12:45.37
Jaime G
You're right, Tony. Global box office revenue has been $1.6 billion already. and this And it's only in week two. And there's no releases coming that are looking like they could dethrone this.

00:13:06.16
Tony Sisk
Yeah, smashing success. I mean, we here, we've done multiple podcasts on Spider-Man in the past, and I think two or three releases, we've done um episodes.

00:13:16.48
Jaime G
Oh, yeah.

00:13:20.09
Tony Sisk
We even did an episode reaction to the trailer, and the trailer didn't drop that long ago, right It was like four months ago. It just came out of the blue, right?

00:13:28.60
Jaime G
Yeah. it it

00:13:30.90
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:13:30.68
Jaime G
They waited a good amount of time before releasing the trailer, much like Doomsday.

00:13:36.09
Tony Sisk
Because we had a whole episode breaking down that trailer.

00:13:37.02
Sentfrmheaven
Mm-hm.

00:13:38.77
Tony Sisk
How much of that how much of that did we get right?

00:13:39.78
Jaime G
Uh-huh.

00:13:42.33
Tony Sisk
Do you remember?

00:13:44.63
Jaime G
I failed miserably when I said I thought that the voice of of a character was Lawrence Fishburne.

00:13:52.09
Tony Sisk
Right. There was no Lawrence Fishburne to be found anywhere. Right.

00:13:59.19
Jaime G
Right.

00:14:00.47
Sentfrmheaven
Mm-hmm.

00:14:01.85
Tony Sisk
Do you still believe the girl on the bus ah was rogue?

00:14:06.90
Jaime G
I still believe it's rogue.

00:14:08.15
Tony Sisk
you still believe that one?

00:14:08.91
Jaime G
They're in they are introducing the X-Men. They're already, that's it. Sadie Sink's going to come back for like an X-Men movie, right?

00:14:18.75
Tony Sisk
Yeah. Yeah.

00:14:20.12
Jaime G
Yeah.

00:14:22.10
Tony Sisk
I mean, they showed her going off on the bus.

00:14:22.65
Jaime G
So, yes.

00:14:26.62
Tony Sisk
You know, it looked like, oh, you know, I'm looking for like ah landmark or something that's, you know, or whatever school that they all end up at or whatever.

00:14:38.40
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:14:38.34
Tony Sisk
I'm looking for that landmark, you know, right.

00:14:39.01
Jaime G
Xavier School for the Gifted or something like that.

00:14:42.88
Sentfrmheaven
Yep. I think that's what it is. Yeah.

00:14:45.66
Tony Sisk
But yeah, so they've crossed over. We've had, we have X-Men in, in the MCU finally. um I mean, I, what'd you think of just the overall story?

00:15:02.94
Tony Sisk
bands

00:15:05.10
Sentfrmheaven
I thought the overall story was fantastic. um I think, to me, this is my favorite Spider-Man. And it was probably solely off of the story alone, like because all the emotions that it gave, i definitely think that ah the story was well-written, well-executed.

00:15:29.40
Tony Sisk
Yeah, if the if had it still had the Spider-Man humor, but it felt more, you know, darker, a little bit more mature themes, um, coming through, you know, um,

00:15:48.41
Tony Sisk
Yeah, they made they really hit the feels for Spider-Man and his situation and you know everything he was going through. even like he inadvertently does something like, i don't want to give a spoiler.

00:16:02.36
Tony Sisk
Wait, is this a spoiler review?

00:16:03.90
Sentfrmheaven
This is Spoiler for me.

00:16:04.79
Tony Sisk
Okay, so this is a spoiler review, so if we're free to talk about anything.

00:16:05.40
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah. Yeah.

00:16:08.63
Sentfrmheaven
Correct.

00:16:08.63
Tony Sisk
Okay, so when he creates the inhibitor, to try and tone down his, arachnid, uh, hormones that then in turn, he's,

00:16:26.46
Tony Sisk
he doesn't realize that he's created basically a weapon against mutants right and that the government is out now they have their hands on that technology so because of spider-man he has inadvertently put other mutants in danger so i like i like that kind of um

00:16:52.76
Tony Sisk
with a theme or a plot that, that that's there for the future. Right. Cause I think we'll see that again in the future, that text is going to show back up. And I know he kind of took it from the Hulk, but,

00:17:03.50
Jaime G
It's going to show up in an X-Men movie where they're going to like try to neutralize mutants somehow with that inhibitor. I i mean, I can already see it coming.

00:17:16.40
Sentfrmheaven
Well, see, in a and that's what I hope doesn't happen, only because we've got that in the other movie. I forget which X-Men it was, but you remember they had the gun with the little darts, and they made them out of plastic because of Magneto controlled metal, and they were shooting them with it, and they were neutralizing them.

00:17:33.40
Jaime G
I thought it was like the third one.

00:17:37.27
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah.

00:17:39.07
Jaime G
Maybe?

00:17:39.42
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah. Yeah, we're, a you know, Wolverine and... God, what's her name? Yeah, Gene Gray, he has to, yeah.

00:17:48.34
Tony Sisk
Jean Grey.

00:17:49.82
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah. but But, yeah, um but it's is it's funny because, like, he he talks out that decision with Banner.

00:18:02.00
Sentfrmheaven
You know, and, you know, Banner's like, eh, you know, and I guess, like, now that we're older, it's like you understand, like, choices that you make and it's not just the one choice, but it's the line of choices that you make that get you to a certain point.

00:18:20.73
Sentfrmheaven
And it's like, that's what I felt with Spider-Man. Like it wasn't just he developed that inhibitor. It was you had a conversation about it and somebody told you the warnings. And he was like, but what about me?

00:18:32.25
Sentfrmheaven
Like, I'm focused on me and not the overall situation. And and I feel like, you know, in and real life, like, we do that a lot, you know? And it's like, yeah, maybe I should have took a left when, i you know, i took that right.

00:18:44.99
Sentfrmheaven
So, you know, it definitely pulls on the strings of like, man, ah like, that decision.

00:18:51.93
Tony Sisk
Yeah. I mean, as as fans of Spider-Man, it's like, ah you know this is going to come back to bite you in butt. right You know you hate that for the character because he's such a good guy. I told Vance the other day that, you know, I think why Spider-Man is such a good superhero is because and unlike a lot of the other superheroes that are either very moody, like a punisher, you know, who just wants to take action on something that grieved him in the past or whatever, or revenge or something, or very businesslike, you know, oh, this is my job. I'm going to do this job, you know, because I have these powers or whatever.

00:19:41.64
Tony Sisk
All these superheroes, know, you know, they have personalities that, you know, are they likable people? Not really. I'm not a lot of times are not very likable, but Spider-Man is like, he's always looking for the positive in every situation. And it's particularly in people, right?

00:20:02.33
Tony Sisk
Like, He's sitting there battling. He's having a conversation trying to talk every villain out of what what they're trying to do. right He's talking with them. Oh, you don't want to do this. I know you got good in you, whatever.

00:20:15.06
Tony Sisk
So he's he's he's always looking for the positive. So it's like That's why he's such a likable superhero. You can make a connection with him. and then But to see stuff like, oh, that decision to make the inhibitor, and now it's going to be used you know in the future. And we see it used later on in the movie.

00:20:36.41
Tony Sisk
um

00:20:39.16
Tony Sisk
You know, that's oh people are going to blame Peter for that, Spider-Man for that. so

00:20:47.90
Tony Sisk
But what else, Jaime, what stood out to you?

00:20:48.22
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:20:51.90
Jaime G
I mean, I thought that this was a good movie, but I kind of think that Marvel, and I'm going to say Marvel in general, although this is more on the Sony side, figured out that team-up movies are fun.

00:21:07.61
Jaime G
Like, after they did Deadpool and Wolverine, this one really, in many ways, was like Spider-Man and the Punisher. I mean... Their banter going back and forth. Man, those ah those were just hilarious moments.

00:21:22.87
Jaime G
And Jon Bernthal, there's something to say that there's been, what, three characters in recent years, three actors in recent years that have played the Punisher. Thomas Jane, one random guy in the middle, and now Jon Bernthal. And, I mean, there's something to say. I think he he's he's nailed the role of angry man with a gun.

00:21:46.87
Tony Sisk
Yes. I'm not a particular fan of his work and other stuff. Um, but I thought he was fantastic as the Punisher in this movie.

00:21:59.02
Tony Sisk
I think he really nailed, nailed that role.

00:21:59.02
Jaime G
Right. Right.

00:22:03.49
Tony Sisk
Um, you know, like angry man with a little bit of a sense of dark humor.

00:22:05.78
Jaime G
There's one.

00:22:09.24
Jaime G
Right.

00:22:10.26
Tony Sisk
um

00:22:10.50
Jaime G
Yeah.

00:22:11.38
Tony Sisk
and just like, you know, get out my way, you know, I'm going to do this. I don't care what you say. And then it's like, Oh, you know, okay, maybe I will, you know, help you out, whatever you hit in the soft spot.

00:22:21.02
Jaime G
Hey, man.

00:22:21.43
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

00:22:22.30
Jaime G
whatever you do, don't eat the chili.

00:22:22.83
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:22:25.02
Tony Sisk
yeah

00:22:26.96
Sentfrmheaven
Right, right.

00:22:28.63
Jaime G
um There was one one scene in

00:22:29.40
Tony Sisk
You remember that time just ah in Queens? Was it the time in Queens is though ah or was it Staten Island?

00:22:33.20
Sentfrmheaven
Well, Staten Island, yeah, Staten Island.

00:22:35.99
Tony Sisk
Staten Island.

00:22:36.02
Jaime G
Staten Island.

00:22:36.68
Tony Sisk
Remember that time in Staten Island? Okay. What time in Staten Island?

00:22:40.98
Jaime G
Yeah, right? I mean

00:22:42.94
Tony Sisk
I need a flashback here. What he's talking about.

00:22:45.66
Jaime G
but but mean, part of that conversation is what made it so funny is that they have a history that us as viewers never saw.

00:22:55.63
Sentfrmheaven
Right. Right.

00:22:55.48
Jaime G
But we just have we just have a blast listening to this. It's like two ex-roommates running into each other like many years later and then arguing about like the spaghetti staying on the couch or something, man.

00:23:09.75
Jaime G
I don't know. i thought I thought these two guys had like the banter between them was just amazing. ah um There's one one scene that kind of... bothered me, man, a lot in this movie.

00:23:23.10
Jaime G
um You know, when they still haven't fully fleshed out the the villain, Jean Grey, you know how she's she's pulling like the hop between characters, like jumps to one, then to the next guy, then to the next guy.

00:23:39.93
Jaime G
At one point where she says, hey, I'm going to go get MJ. She hops into the body of like maybe like an older gentleman. And I think I memory is not what it used to be. Either the gentleman crashes or gets run over by a car.

00:23:58.20
Tony Sisk
Yes, he gets run over by a taxi.

00:23:58.55
Jaime G
And. Right. And Spider-Man just like doesn't care. He's just like, let me get to MJ, right? Because I'm trying to beat this this entity that's you know hopping between individuals.

00:24:12.15
Jaime G
That scene, man, bothered me a lot. Because i grew up reading Spider-Man comic books. And in one of like the very famous series, it was called ah Maximum Carnage. you know This is like a free-for-all between like good superheroes getting into going into like carnage and a lot of like baddies that are doing stuff with him.

00:24:38.26
Jaime G
There's one scene in that, in one of the episodes where Spider-Man starts to fall into like, like a venom kind of mentality. He's like, we have to stop carnage at all costs. And he sees that there's people ah looting or like mugging somebody and And he's having like this inner monologue of like, I can't stop for them.

00:25:01.72
Jaime G
I need to go get Carnage. And then he he turns back. He's like, no, that's not the right thing to do. So he goes back, you know, defuses the situation, webs everybody, and then goes get and gets Carnage. And so I guess when I saw this, I was like, wait.

00:25:17.56
Jaime G
the, the, the comic book Spider-Man would like go back and be like, let's get this person some help or something, but he just didn't care. He just said peace. And, and it's like, as an audience, uh, viewer, was like, you, you kind of forget about this character too.

00:25:37.79
Jaime G
Um, that was the one scene that was kind of disturbing in a way. Um,

00:25:45.04
Jaime G
it's It's kind of like tony like, remember when we all saw Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and like that one planet exploded and they like never never ever yeah and then like nobody ever mentions it again?

00:25:52.15
Tony Sisk
Yeah, they destroyed the whole planet.

00:25:57.75
Tony Sisk
Right.

00:25:58.52
Jaime G
but i mean, for Spider-Man, who's a more you know smaller stakes character, this is that planet exploding from in my in my view.

00:26:08.66
Tony Sisk
Well, I mean, this has happened to Spider-Man in the past, right? Why? Because he let the, he let the robber go because he didn't get me his money.

00:26:21.14
Tony Sisk
um And what happened?

00:26:25.87
Tony Sisk
You know, Uncle Ben paid the price.

00:26:27.15
Jaime G
That was a different timeline, Spider-Man, my friend.

00:26:28.89
Tony Sisk
There's a different timeline. It doesn't matter.

00:26:32.28
Sentfrmheaven
Same mentality.

00:26:33.69
Tony Sisk
Same thing, right? He let

00:26:38.49
Tony Sisk
a little bit of selfishness get in the way. Yeah, I mean, I don't know if this was, he's still kind of like, you know, Having this whole issue with the Arachnid hormones kind of Messing up his thinking or whatever However I will say It's a tough choice At that moment Right because like Yes he could help the guy that just got run over By the taxi ah

00:27:10.17
Tony Sisk
But if he you know the guy's already been run over By the taxi So I don't is's Is Spider-Man going to do what We don't know.

00:27:19.79
Jaime G
I don't know.

00:27:20.42
Tony Sisk
I mean, we don't know the injuries to the guy or whatever like that. That's happened.

00:27:26.78
Jaime G
And we will never know at this point.

00:27:27.03
Tony Sisk
And we don't know what is going to happen next because she's jumping from person to person to person. Like we have, it's there's a correlation to this at our work. advanced I don't know if you have been gone through this training, but we actually had ah some training like 10 years ago.

00:27:49.98
Tony Sisk
ah where they talked about when it was appropriate to help somebody and not help somebody, right?

00:28:01.85
Tony Sisk
So you're going to work going to go work a flight, and then somebody says, excuse me, sir, can you help me find baggage service, right?

00:28:15.51
Tony Sisk
And they ask you, could you show them where the baggage service is? Your choice is give that person absolutely great customer service, walk them to baggage service, or tell that person, yeah it's that way.

00:28:33.62
Tony Sisk
And then give them some directions and then go on and do what your job was supposed to do. Right? So most people would assume, oh man, you want to offer the absolute great customer satisfaction by helping that person get the back of service.

00:28:53.75
Jaime G
Oh, but there's a trade-off if you do that and you, right.

00:28:55.96
Tony Sisk
But that would be the incorrect answer. the the The correct answer is you need to go to your job position because when you failed to show up to your job position, you impacted 175 by not being there.

00:29:10.33
Tony Sisk
by not being there So the good of the ones versus the good of the many. So i mean, this is kind of like Spider-Man doesn't know like what the outcome is if he doesn't stop the villain, right? That's his job is to stop the villain. His job is not to perform CPR or set a broken bone or whatever. That's not what he's there for. That's what the police are there for. Ambulance drivers and stuff. His job is to stop the superhero villain.

00:29:49.27
Sentfrmheaven
Mm-hmm.

00:29:50.04
Tony Sisk
So, because that's, what's going to impact more people. I think that's the discussion that they had in the film room, whether or not to include that, cut it or whatever it

00:29:58.96
Jaime G
I'm sure they did, yeah.

00:30:01.50
Tony Sisk
Right. So, but again, it's, that's that two second frame again, shows the impossible choice that a superhero, especially like Spider-Man has to make and a split second decision all the time.

00:30:20.76
Tony Sisk
Like his, his entire day is nothing but those decisions and he can't stop. It's like, the police chief keeps telling him, take a break. You don't have to be at every call.

00:30:34.00
Tony Sisk
That's what we're, it's like, let us do our jobs. Right. He's literally going to every call years on the radio.

00:30:38.01
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:30:42.39
Tony Sisk
Like, so he has, he has to find that balance in, even from, from life balance. And then in that situation, yeah some people are going to go I can't believe Spider-Man didn't help that guy, you know, but they're not.

00:30:56.25
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

00:30:56.42
Jaime G
That was me. Yeah.

00:30:57.43
Tony Sisk
Yeah. there's it You can't win. ah You can't win. So um

00:31:10.87
Tony Sisk
what else stood out? Vance.

00:31:17.94
Sentfrmheaven
I guess like how trustworthy he is, like, you know, like he's just so trustworthy and that always gets him into trouble.

00:31:23.22
Tony Sisk
If.

00:31:26.92
Sentfrmheaven
Like,

00:31:27.64
Tony Sisk
You talk about when he goes to the damage control headquarters and the, in the head guy talks to him, like anybody who's anybody, the average Joe would recognize, man, this guy sounds suspicious, right?

00:31:31.17
Sentfrmheaven
yes, yes.

00:31:35.32
Sentfrmheaven
Clearly we all know he's lying.

00:31:39.39
Sentfrmheaven
Anybody.

00:31:44.93
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:31:46.49
Tony Sisk
He's like the way he's talking, like all smooth and, you know, reassuring, we got this. Appreciate the help spider, man. We got, we're good.

00:31:56.79
Tony Sisk
yeah Like so suspicious.

00:32:00.92
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah.

00:32:01.42
Tony Sisk
And Spider-Man is like, happy to help.

00:32:05.17
Sentfrmheaven
Right. I'm like, like,

00:32:05.49
Tony Sisk
Anytime I'm on team damage control. Yeah.

00:32:08.50
Sentfrmheaven
Right. I'm like, he's so cold, you know, like it's working with the what the hand and stuff like that. You like, come on, man. That's shady business, bro.

00:32:16.57
Jaime G
Yeah. yeah hey as soon As soon as he was working with the hand, you knew he was into some shady stuff.

00:32:17.50
Sentfrmheaven
Like.

00:32:23.22
Sentfrmheaven
Right. I'm like, I'm like, the hand is just shady business. And then.

00:32:29.78
Sentfrmheaven
I mean, like he could hear a shot go off two miles away, but he didn't know that there was a bomb inside of the tank that was the bottom of damage control. I'm like, your sight?

00:32:37.59
Jaime G
Right?

00:32:37.99
Sentfrmheaven
I'm like, your Spidey scissors didn't go off like there was more danger. I'm just like, all right, bro.

00:32:44.09
Tony Sisk
But he hadn't totally embraced his new mutant self yet.

00:32:44.57
Jaime G
Now...

00:32:48.60
Jaime G
Yeah, the Peter Tingle.

00:32:49.14
Tony Sisk
that was before That was before the full transformation where he was super, ah his powers were like tenfold more powerful. like he He's still you know regular Spider-Man.

00:33:05.31
Tony Sisk
At the end of the movie, he's He's like the Hulk was, you know, when Hulk yeah

00:33:12.86
Sentfrmheaven
Right, when you're hooked up, right.

00:33:14.49
Tony Sisk
got fully transformed and he was like 12 feet tall, as wide as a building.

00:33:19.53
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:33:22.01
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:33:21.98
Tony Sisk
Yeah. That was Hulk's hormones and full banner. I'm tired of you suppressing me. Like we're going full Hulk mode here.

00:33:34.14
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, you like... a

00:33:39.90
Sentfrmheaven
So because like once once, like, you know, like he figured out how far like she could hop, whatever like that. But once she got back to the helicopter, you know, do I'm like, OK, yeah, you know, Spider finally got that. And but then when they showed the flashback with her and her sister, she just resets to, ah guess, the last.

00:34:01.98
Sentfrmheaven
ah You know, she starts over whatever like that. And I was like, oh, that's how she beat him.

00:34:06.97
Tony Sisk
and just came back to her body.

00:34:08.82
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, he just came back. And then, yeah, because I'm like, you know by the time he did all that and swung to MJ, I'm like, oh, that's how she she beat him. so Okay, that's how she, you know, was resetting.

00:34:20.43
Sentfrmheaven
I'm like, hmm.

00:34:23.00
Tony Sisk
Then when, uh, when he, uh, when he went and got MJ and took her to the top of the, uh, rooftop and then like she kissed him.

00:34:23.19
Sentfrmheaven
But, man.

00:34:33.11
Tony Sisk
Like, Did it click to you? Did you go, that's not MJ?

00:34:39.10
Jaime G
i was i was I was thinking actually like, yeah.

00:34:39.29
Tony Sisk
mile

00:34:42.57
Jaime G
And then I was like, oh, plot twist.

00:34:44.98
Sentfrmheaven
Right, that's me. Yeah. Like, yeah.

00:34:47.00
Tony Sisk
No.

00:34:47.54
Sentfrmheaven
oh

00:34:48.25
Tony Sisk
a

00:34:48.44
Sentfrmheaven
Like a rollercoaster of emotions.

00:34:49.96
Tony Sisk
amy Amy was like, I knew it.

00:34:50.17
Sentfrmheaven
You dirty.

00:34:52.29
Tony Sisk
I knew it. She's like, you scream my ear. you know i knew it. I knew that was the villain. ah

00:35:01.39
Sentfrmheaven
I'm like, oh man, like.

00:35:02.58
Tony Sisk
yeah That was dirty.

00:35:04.82
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah. now now

00:35:06.32
Jaime G
It really was, man.

00:35:08.89
Sentfrmheaven
Now, do you feel like when they were on the boat, do you feel like MJ did him dirty or do you feel like she told him the truth? Like after she had read the letter.

00:35:24.47
Jaime G
I'm going to come clean on this. In that specific scene, my wife said, go fill the popcorn.

00:35:35.58
Tony Sisk
Are you serious?

00:35:36.95
Jaime G
i am

00:35:38.49
Tony Sisk
ah

00:35:41.56
Jaime G
I came back only to to see him be like, like like I saw like the fallout. I didn't see exactly what happened. Yeah.

00:35:50.39
Tony Sisk
Wow. Okay. Well, we'll have to reenact it, Vance.

00:35:53.82
Sentfrmheaven
Hey, we're, yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:35:54.69
Tony Sisk
Okay.

00:35:56.82
Sentfrmheaven
So, so pretty much, you know, he goes and he's fighting and whatever like that, but he comes back. And you remember the whole time he had the letter in the cup, the coffee cup, whatever like that.

00:36:07.73
Sentfrmheaven
So when he walked into the boat, she's sitting there with the letter. Like, and he's like,

00:36:15.80
Sentfrmheaven
ah you know, then they have the, why didn't you tell me whatever like that.

00:36:15.69
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

00:36:19.65
Sentfrmheaven
So, you know, she read the letter and um he's telling, he's pouring out his heart. She was like, I don't love you. I don't know you. I was like, ah, I was like, ah,

00:36:33.17
Sentfrmheaven
and i

00:36:33.46
Jaime G
See that, I think I heard that last part, but I missed the whole the whole context.

00:36:40.15
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, so I felt like she didn't do them wrong, but she did she did do them wrong because she made a whole big stink about the letter. But it's like, you don't even remember the letter.

00:36:51.96
Sentfrmheaven
Like, you don't remember none that.

00:36:52.26
Tony Sisk
Right. Right. First of all, who gave you permission to read the letter?

00:37:00.18
Sentfrmheaven
Correct.

00:37:00.38
Tony Sisk
Right. Like, yeah, it may say your name across the top. That doesn't automatically give you permission to pick it up and read it. it's It's like somebody's diary. Right. It's like, did they send you the letter? Did they give you the letter?

00:37:17.24
Tony Sisk
Right. Is it still in possession of the person who wrote the letter? Yes. Right. Like you don't technically have a right to read that letter, but she, she read the letter and then she wants to hold him accountable for it.

00:37:31.12
Sentfrmheaven
Right. Right.

00:37:32.60
Tony Sisk
And then turn around and say, i don't love you. I don't know you. Then why are you giving them a hard time? ah This is the impossible dynamic of, you know, relationships.

00:37:48.21
Tony Sisk
but It would be like Jaime showing back up at the house today with a big stack of magic cards.

00:37:57.85
Jaime G
do

00:37:58.49
Tony Sisk
and

00:37:58.71
Jaime G
ah

00:38:00.25
Tony Sisk
and and and and And then you putting them down and not telling your wife that you bought them and then she finds them and you would have come back into the kitchen and she's like, why didn't you? What are these?

00:38:14.68
Jaime G
No lie, that has happened. like Like in 2020, I think it happened.

00:38:20.76
Tony Sisk
Why didn't you tell me?

00:38:22.49
Jaime G
Yeah.

00:38:23.35
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:38:23.13
Jaime G
And no and more it was more like I ordered some cards and when they arrived in the mail, they were like, yo, what's this? Because you could she could feel them, you know? I ordered like some singles. Yeah.

00:38:38.52
Tony Sisk
Hey. I'll go to like McDonald's. Right? And I'll be like, oh, I'll get some fries. I won't even be out of the parking lot. Amy will be like calling me on the phone.

00:38:49.85
Tony Sisk
Hey. Just buy some at McDonald's. oh ah Yeah. why

00:38:58.83
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:38:59.18
Tony Sisk
Because I'm hungry. You got food at home. ah I'm not at home.

00:39:06.38
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:39:06.39
Tony Sisk
ah You just like to waste money.

00:39:08.58
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:39:12.18
Sentfrmheaven
Hey, hey, then after they bring up the cars, after they bring up the fries, they hit you with.

00:39:12.66
Tony Sisk
Can't win.

00:39:19.73
Sentfrmheaven
I don't even care. So why'd you bring it up? Why'd you bring it up if you didn't care?

00:39:23.67
Tony Sisk
you didn't ask me, you didn't ask me if I wanted something.

00:39:28.00
Sentfrmheaven
Oh, man.

00:39:28.75
Jaime G
Spidey sense tingling that if our wives listen to this, we're going to be in trouble.

00:39:33.21
Sentfrmheaven
That wasn't me. Yeah, it's... Yeah.

00:39:37.04
Tony Sisk
Hey, if you know, you know.

00:39:37.21
Sentfrmheaven
that was me

00:39:38.52
Tony Sisk
but

00:39:39.81
Jaime G
Yeah. You've been there.

00:39:44.38
Tony Sisk
All right.

00:39:44.86
Sentfrmheaven
yeah it's

00:39:44.75
Jaime G
Nah.

00:39:46.52
Sentfrmheaven
yeah

00:39:46.33
Jaime G
But hey, you know, at the at the end, you know when he goes and does like the the high school handshake with Ned and Ned

00:39:55.38
Tony Sisk
Mmm, this is a big, big point of discussion.

00:39:58.68
Jaime G
Right. And Ned kind of looks him like, Peter, there's two ways that this can go. Either he realized, hey, I remember something from the past, which I think is highly unlikely because even MJ couldn't remember him, right? And they've got like true love going for them.

00:40:23.90
Jaime G
I think... That what when he said Peter's that, you know, he realized that Spider-Man's name was Peter somehow because he heard it from MJ.

00:40:35.12
Sentfrmheaven
Mm hmm.

00:40:35.61
Jaime G
So I want to say that after, yeah, right.

00:40:36.41
Sentfrmheaven
Be careful, Peter.

00:40:38.62
Jaime G
Like after, after like the handshake, he's like, you're spy. I think it meant more like you're a Spider-Man versus I remember. Thoughts? Comments?

00:40:49.41
Tony Sisk
Vance, I'll let you take this one.

00:40:49.69
Sentfrmheaven
I Tony. All right. So look, so i was talking with you and I told her what Amy told you, Tony. Right now.

00:40:59.42
Tony Sisk
Yep.

00:41:01.14
Sentfrmheaven
what Jaime just said, that's JQ's theory, except she believes that the spell was broken by Nez's true love for Peter.

00:41:16.15
Sentfrmheaven
Because she had mentioned

00:41:16.02
Jaime G
But why didn't MJs break it if if it was true love?

00:41:20.64
Sentfrmheaven
because MJ, she didn't, because at the time she didn't remember who I guess he was, whatever like that. But Yeah, because I was like, because then she had told me where, I guess, the spell that Doctor Strange did like that.

00:41:37.20
Sentfrmheaven
And she was saying she thought that the true love from

00:41:39.45
Tony Sisk
Okay. So, Jaime, there's a third possibility here.

00:41:41.70
Sentfrmheaven
nay

00:41:44.98
Sentfrmheaven
Talk to him, Tony.

00:41:45.08
Tony Sisk
And, right, the third possibility.

00:41:45.85
Sentfrmheaven
Lay it on

00:41:46.49
Jaime G
All right. All right.

00:41:47.97
Tony Sisk
And this is coming from my wife, right?

00:41:48.28
Jaime G
Lay it on me.

00:41:52.47
Tony Sisk
Who normally would not be observant about these things. But,

00:41:55.60
Jaime G
I was going to say, she would she probably usually would have not been contributing to this.

00:42:00.34
Tony Sisk
right, this is what she says. And i after listening to this,

00:42:08.25
Tony Sisk
actually buy into this theory. um So at the end of the movie, when Jean Grey is going crazy and Spider-Man invites her into his mind, finally,

00:42:26.58
Tony Sisk
um to have the interaction with Aunt May. And then she comes down off her cliff, right?

00:42:38.78
Tony Sisk
And then Spider-Man saves her. Right now they have a connection, right? Now they have each other as a like friend relationship, right? Because she was talking about, oh, I don't have anybody. Well, you've got me, right?

00:42:54.10
Tony Sisk
So then she goes on leaves and is presumably finding ah the Academy. But Because everybody was at the time that she was going crazy within the dome of her influence, right? Because she was super powerful at this point.

00:43:14.97
Tony Sisk
She had everybody frozen, right? Now, remember MJ was crying in why she was frozen, right? So why was she crying? Right?

00:43:31.00
Tony Sisk
Because something unlocked in her brain because of what um

00:43:38.04
Tony Sisk
Jane was doing? Or...

00:43:43.13
Tony Sisk
go ahead.

00:43:46.21
Jaime G
or she had as ah spot that she really needed to scratch but just couldn't reach it.

00:43:51.77
Tony Sisk
That too. However,

00:43:56.83
Tony Sisk
Amy believes that... after the whole situation resolved itself, that as a parting gift to Spider-Man, because they had the discussion about being alone, right? She knew Spider-Man had this torment going on in his life, right?

00:44:19.45
Tony Sisk
As a parting gift for Spider-Man, she was able to unlock those memories because she could see into everybody's memories.

00:44:19.75
Sentfrmheaven
Thank you.

00:44:29.98
Tony Sisk
She could see into what was locked in the people's minds. So she was able to unlock that in MJ and Ned because she knew how much that meant to Spider-Man.

00:44:47.74
Tony Sisk
And that was her parting gift for Spider-Man. And when Ned did the whole handshake with Peter, That's what triggered those memories to come to the surface.

00:45:03.74
Tony Sisk
So MJ hasn't done whatever it is that was required to unlock her memories, but her memories like are there to be unlocked. So i I tend to buy into that way more.

00:45:18.20
Tony Sisk
I think that Jean definitely did that.

00:45:19.67
Jaime G
Wait, wait, wait. But at one point, didn't Jean say right off the the the kiss scene in the rooftop, like she said, like, there's literally nothing of you there.

00:45:32.31
Jaime G
Like, there's nothing. i took that as like, there's nothing there to unlock even.

00:45:36.38
Tony Sisk
But she has dialogue. She talks about their past. MJ and Peter's past. She's not able to get into Spider-Man's mind. So she can't get it from him.

00:45:48.47
Tony Sisk
So who is she getting it from?

00:45:52.60
Jaime G
Hmm. Okay. Okay. I mean, cause now you're, you're going into.

00:45:57.62
Tony Sisk
And she knows it's Peter Parker. she She says, I know. She says Peter, right? She calls him by Peter Parker. Gene does.

00:46:05.31
Jaime G
Yeah.

00:46:06.81
Tony Sisk
She knows who he is. How? How does she know that? Nobody knows Peter Parker's Spider-Man. She does. She got it from somebody.

00:46:18.42
Tony Sisk
If the spell wipes everybody's memory of Peter Parker being Spider-Man, not only of Peter Parker being Spider-Man, but Peter Parker himself, remember? He's totally wiped away.

00:46:32.82
Tony Sisk
Like there's no evidence of Peter Parker ever resisting ah existing.

00:46:38.10
Jaime G
Well, right. Like they didn't even remember that they went to the same high school, right?

00:46:42.54
Tony Sisk
Right. But she in when she's having the discussion, you know confronting Spider-Man. She's calling him by Peter. Peter Parker.

00:46:54.55
Tony Sisk
She can't get into Spider-Man's brain. So what did she get it from? She had to have gotten it from MJ. Those memories are there. The clues are there for us. Go back and watch. I think if we go back and watch the movie with the intent of saying where the, where like, uh, the, her conversation with Spider-Man and she starts name dropping Peter Parker and MJ and his Ned or whatever, then you, ah think I think those are the clues that you need to say that those memories are still there because,

00:47:32.40
Tony Sisk
That's the only way she could have gotten Peter Parker. Nobody else knows about Peter Parker except the Hulk.

00:47:38.57
Sentfrmheaven
I would say except the Hulk. Yeah.

00:47:39.74
Tony Sisk
But she can't get into Hulk's brain either.

00:47:43.45
Sentfrmheaven
I mean, look surprised. Well, because you remember Banner was the one that mine was the race, but Hulk wasn't. So like, a um you know, Hulk, he still remember who he is.

00:47:55.29
Tony Sisk
Yeah, this is because when the Hulk has him by the neck and is crushing him about to kill him up there,

00:47:56.57
Jaime G
Right, right. Yeah.

00:48:02.89
Tony Sisk
Spider-Man's like, I'm your friend. Don't you remember? I'm Peter. Didn't he say i'm his name? It's Peter.

00:48:12.72
Sentfrmheaven
talks Yeah, because...

00:48:16.28
Tony Sisk
So the Hulk remembered.

00:48:16.57
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, because...

00:48:18.55
Tony Sisk
and we And this is, yeah, the Hulk remembered.

00:48:22.71
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, because... And I like Amy's theory as well because, you know, that's because because at first, you know, just like Tony was saying, like, we was talking about it, like, when Ned sees him and he's like, hey, you know, i Peter, and I'm thinking he puts two and two together, hey, Peter and Spider-Man, but for him to know the handshake of memory had to be unlocked.

00:48:43.79
Sentfrmheaven
Because if not, he would have been fumbling and you know, I don't know.

00:48:47.22
Tony Sisk
Exactly, exactly. you're There's another clue right there.

00:48:50.81
Jaime G
Yeah, there's there's some truth into that, yeah.

00:48:51.21
Tony Sisk
Vance just said it. How would have Ned known to do the handshake if there was not a Peter Parker there?

00:48:57.02
Jaime G
It's muscle memory.

00:48:58.81
Tony Sisk
But there was no Peter Parker. Yes, it's muscle memory. Exactly. It is muscle memory. But he didn't, there's no evidence that he did that handshake with anybody else. But he knew the handshake.

00:49:12.22
Tony Sisk
Muscle memory.

00:49:12.63
Jaime G
i

00:49:13.22
Tony Sisk
Exactly. Exactly.

00:49:14.07
Jaime G
I can say that that that is a strong third possibility.

00:49:20.95
Tony Sisk
Yeah, I think i think they they threw that when he when MJ says Peter's name, they threw that out there as kind of like a a red herring to to make everybody think that.

00:49:35.98
Jaime G
Yeah.

00:49:36.73
Sentfrmheaven
Now, now and one of the biggest letdowns for me was when I finally found out what VMAX was.

00:49:36.69
Tony Sisk
That's too obvious.

00:49:36.72
Jaime G
Yeah. Now it really is.

00:49:38.26
Tony Sisk
Too obvious.

00:49:40.86
Jaime G
it It really is. But

00:49:47.04
Sentfrmheaven
i was

00:49:48.79
Tony Sisk
Was that letdown?

00:49:51.42
Sentfrmheaven
That was a letdown.

00:49:51.54
Tony Sisk
It little bit a

00:49:53.56
Sentfrmheaven
I like the vent.

00:49:53.50
Jaime G
no, no guys. I thought I thought I actually could relate to that in so many ways that sometimes like in all of our stories,

00:50:05.55
Jaime G
we're like so caught up looking for something that the moment that you realize that you get it, you're like, is this it? Is this really what I've spent like so much time trying to like achieve, find, discover, or like comprehend, right?

00:50:25.30
Jaime G
I mean, obviously the, I mean, I think that the plot twist here was a little bit more dark for sure, because it was more like, well, here's where the sister, you know, passed.

00:50:25.61
Sentfrmheaven
I can see that. I can see that.

00:50:34.36
Jaime G
Right. but ah But I was like, oh, yeah, I can totally see where, like, they can be like, hey, this is this is it. Like, there's this big thing that you've been looking for is, a completely not what you're expecting.

00:50:50.74
Jaime G
And it turns out just to be, like, some some random thing in life.

00:50:55.51
Tony Sisk
Yeah. Yeah. I thought for sure was this code name for, you know, government project or something, a weapon or what is VMAX?

00:51:03.03
Jaime G
I mean, it it sounded legit, right?

00:51:03.97
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:51:05.97
Jaime G
Vmax. Right.

00:51:08.59
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:51:11.04
Tony Sisk
That was pretty funny, but yeah. um

00:51:16.66
Tony Sisk
So how did, what'd you guys think of a Jean Grey's character and how the actress Kind of portrayed it. Do you like that?

00:51:29.66
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, I did.

00:51:29.94
Tony Sisk
Iteration of her?

00:51:31.74
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, I did. I did.

00:51:32.09
Jaime G
Yep. Totally.

00:51:35.74
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, she plays she played pretty good. definitely can see her being, you know, like Jean Grey, like, throughout, hopefully. You know, long as she doesn't say anything political or, you know, do anything to, you know, whatever.

00:51:47.79
Sentfrmheaven
But...

00:51:47.82
Tony Sisk
Yeah. Well, Sony's got to be i loving it because you know we got the Wolverine game coming out.

00:51:54.49
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah.

00:51:54.50
Tony Sisk
in a month.

00:51:55.42
Jaime G
And sony's Sony's got the rights to the X-Men too, don't they?

00:51:59.51
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

00:52:00.27
Sentfrmheaven
Mm-hmm.

00:52:00.86
Jaime G
Like the Deadpool movies, they're not they're not Disney.

00:52:01.34
Tony Sisk
So.

00:52:05.85
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

00:52:07.61
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, because now I'm definitely it interested to see like know what character they kind of bring out next. I mean, do you go Wolverine or do you go with you know somebody with somebody else

00:52:30.65
Jaime G
i think I think the safe play here is they have the Spider-Man franchise. They just introduced mutants in a really successful way, and they took their time introducing one mutant.

00:52:45.02
Jaime G
It wasn't like 50 mutants altogether, right? ah I think if they go like slowly build up to eventually get to X-Men, it'll it'll it's a slam dunk.

00:52:59.74
Tony Sisk
Well, when they drop the PlayStation 6 reveal, you know what trailer they're going to throw down, right? They're going to throw down the next Spider-Man.

00:53:10.67
Jaime G
God of War.

00:53:13.40
Tony Sisk
The next Spider-Man game will be the launch title for PlayStation 6. Sony's got all this worked out.

00:53:24.02
Tony Sisk
That's a prediction, by the way.

00:53:27.53
Sentfrmheaven
Hey, and then, you know, whats something else I just thought about, too. You know who they showed in that Wolverine trailer? Jean Grey.

00:53:36.82
Tony Sisk
Yeah, that's what saying.

00:53:39.67
Jaime G
She was in there.

00:53:41.23
Sentfrmheaven
It was, yep, she in there, yep.

00:53:41.97
Tony Sisk
They've got all this lined up, timing, it's all under Sony's banner. there's yeah They're making money hand over fist right now with that licensing agreement.

00:53:48.19
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah.

00:53:50.17
Jaime G
Oh, yeah, dude. there theyre therere Somebody's in an office saying like, yeah, all those all those flops, we just we can just write them off now.

00:53:53.53
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah.

00:54:01.72
Tony Sisk
It doesn't matter.

00:54:02.17
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah. Right.

00:54:02.97
Tony Sisk
Just give us another superhero.

00:54:05.59
Jaime G
Yeah.

00:54:06.19
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah.

00:54:06.39
Tony Sisk
Punisher game coming inbound.

00:54:07.15
Jaime G
Yeah, we'll make it work.

00:54:09.23
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:54:11.83
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah. Now, another prediction. Do y'all think that

00:54:17.91
Sentfrmheaven
financially, i think Doomsday is going to do well because the hype, but do you think the movie is going to be, like, do you think the movie is going to live up to the hype?

00:54:28.27
Jaime G
it's personally speaking, I don't think it's going to be another Avengers, uh, end game at all. Like no way that was like, that was lightning. They captured lightning in a bottle that one time.

00:54:45.40
Jaime G
So I was reading somewhere some months ago in where they said like, look at all these different actors that are like big, big names. Um, you da where There is no way at all whatsoever that all of these actors are going to have enough screen time.

00:55:06.68
Jaime G
they're there's du They just can't. And i think they're right because they're just going to be like, all right, explosions, FaceTime, next explosion, FaceTime, plot twist, explosion. Let's go.

00:55:23.69
Jaime G
It's going to be just too much, man.

00:55:26.97
Tony Sisk
Well,

00:55:33.97
Tony Sisk
I think that um whatever it is they come up with, with this plot, with, that's coming up in this movie, the villain has to have a good,

00:55:52.31
Tony Sisk
Motive Motivation Like game whatever Infinity war The In all the movies that led up to it Like Thanos

00:56:09.94
Tony Sisk
There were people that could say You know what he's kind of right Like the universe is overpopulated universe is overpopulated The resources are being used up There's war there's famine Like he can, you know what he does, like there, there's gotta be a good motivation for the villain.

00:56:14.86
Jaime G
I was one of those people. Yeah.

00:56:35.54
Tony Sisk
It can't just be a villain that wants to destroy everything.

00:56:38.07
Jaime G
Yeah. Yeah.

00:56:39.49
Tony Sisk
You what saying? Like, there's There's got to be a really good thing that's going to make people sympathetic to the villain. And I think that's what's going to make a good villain. And I think that's what they're going to do.

00:56:51.64
Tony Sisk
I think because robert it's ah Robert Downey Jr., right? He's playing Doom.

00:56:57.79
Jaime G
Yep. Yep.

00:57:00.09
Tony Sisk
I think he's going to demand that of his character, right?

00:57:00.07
Jaime G
Yep.

00:57:04.44
Jaime G
Do you think that he's actually... going to be like come across as like having a point to to the extreme that people might be like, well, he's not the bad guy.

00:57:19.93
Tony Sisk
Yeah, I think so.

00:57:23.45
Tony Sisk
I think, I mean, he's not going to come in there and play two-dimensional character. He's too good of an actor for that. You know what I'm saying? Like, he's going to convince the audience that he's right or that you should back him.

00:57:36.22
Jaime G
exactly Exactly.

00:57:37.89
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

00:57:37.86
Jaime G
And I think that's, that's what they're going to try to do. Like, like at the end, you're going to walk out and be like, I can see, I can see that argument. And probably it's not a bad way to look at things. Like, cause I felt that way about Thanos. Like deep down, I was like, yeah, I kind of see how, how his whole argument in the grand scheme of things makes sense.

00:58:01.14
Sentfrmheaven
Not me. Once he turned on his own daughter, I'm like, nah, I do evil. Kill him.

00:58:06.14
Tony Sisk
ah

00:58:07.71
Sentfrmheaven
him out. Like, take him out, you know?

00:58:09.08
Tony Sisk
Well, I mean, he's still evil, but you know, it's that how dedicated he is to what he's wanting to accomplish.

00:58:11.54
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, take him out.

00:58:16.98
Tony Sisk
You have to have that, right? Wouldn't be a good villain if he could just be easily deflected from his ultimate endgame. ah

00:58:29.10
Sentfrmheaven
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

00:58:29.21
Jaime G
It's on movie. Ha ha.

00:58:30.46
Tony Sisk
yeah um But no, I think I don't,

00:58:38.26
Tony Sisk
Obviously I think there has to be more than one this movie Right I think it's gonna It's an introduction to Him as a villain Alright so

00:58:45.18
Jaime G
It's going to be two. It's going to be doomsday. And then there's going to be secret wars. And, and, you know, Fast forward here to the end credits scene where it shows that Spider-Man is like somewhere off planet.

00:59:02.14
Jaime G
um it I think it's a little bit of a callback to the comic book series, which was actually aptly called Secret Wars, where there was a character, to think his name was The Beyonder, who basically said, let's take everything out of the picture.

00:59:22.39
Jaime G
And let me bring some guys that are good, some guys that are bad. and that They just duke it out. um And in that in that comic book series is where Spider-Man was having like some powwows with people. His outphat outfit got all torn up.

00:59:43.42
Jaime G
And that's how that's where he got the symbiote suit. So there is a chance that this kind of leads up to like now the Venom introduction, according to a little bit more comic book accurate stuff.

00:59:53.33
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

00:59:55.54
Tony Sisk
yeah

00:59:56.98
Sentfrmheaven
yeah Yeah, if I had a choice, I wouldn't be Spider-Man's outfit. You know what saying? like He too nice of a leader. I need an need a warrior. I need somebody who's not going to be talking during the fight while I'm over here getting whooped.

01:00:09.39
Jaime G
Yeah.

01:00:11.69
Sentfrmheaven
He's over here. to reason with Try to reason with him. Nah, I need a warrior.

01:00:16.89
Jaime G
Yeah.

01:00:18.42
Sentfrmheaven
I need a Wolverine. Yeah, get the claws dirty.

01:00:25.33
Tony Sisk
Spider-Man suit was pretty cool because his his i his eye holes would move with his eyes.

01:00:33.34
Sentfrmheaven
Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah.

01:00:33.40
Jaime G
Yeah.

01:00:33.70
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

01:00:33.58
Jaime G
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

01:00:36.50
Tony Sisk
Yeah, I thought ah ah thought the movie itself looked like how of the movie looked, like the colors and the scenes and everything. It felt very comic book-y. It also felt very video game-y.

01:00:50.17
Tony Sisk
like from like the video games the original of the the spider-man games that came out a few years ago um we had the uh chief of police they come straight out of the video game um character i i felt like oh yeah i'm just i'm watching the um

01:01:08.86
Jaime G
Yeah, this

01:01:12.38
Jaime G
the video game, the 2019 video game.

01:01:12.63
Tony Sisk
the first the the first Spider-Man game from Insomniac.

01:01:14.47
Jaime G
Yep.

01:01:17.59
Jaime G
Mm-hmm.

01:01:17.85
Tony Sisk
So, it great.

01:01:21.46
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah, and I think that one thing they hit on, too, was like ah when he was up there trying to figure out the suppressor thing. He was watching the documentary on, you know, like the spider, like, you know, transition to adulthood.

01:01:34.20
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

01:01:36.98
Sentfrmheaven
And I'm like, I hope for the rest the Spider-Man, like, that's we get. Because in newah in a noah No Way Home, I think he's, what, they're just graduating high school, going to MIT, whatever.

01:01:50.74
Sentfrmheaven
So they're around, what, 18, 19, something like that. I'm like, you know, in the next couple years, he's going to grown. Like, let him grow. Like, I don't want my Spider-Man to be 16 my whole life.

01:02:01.74
Sentfrmheaven
know what I'm saying? Like, let him, you know, let him grow, you know?

01:02:03.40
Jaime G
Oh, yeah.

01:02:06.41
Sentfrmheaven
Like, we're ready for that. He's ready for that, you know? So, I did like that, you know? so I'm just like, you know...

01:02:13.56
Jaime G
Yeah, man, the way how they showed the time lapse of like him watching Ned as a freshman, as like a sophomore, as a senior, I got a kick out of that. Because again, for the viewer, it's like, hey, there has been a good span of time.

01:02:29.30
Jaime G
Because if you really think about like the first three movies, it was like the three years of high school.

01:02:35.35
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

01:02:35.96
Jaime G
even though they're like six years apart from each other, I mean, maybe from like the first one to the last one here, they said, okay, let's kind of show that there's a time, a time lapse.

01:02:47.43
Tony Sisk
Yeah.

01:02:48.36
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

01:02:50.99
Tony Sisk
Cool. All right. Well, that's all I've got on Spider-Man.

01:02:57.08
Jaime G
Great movie.

01:02:57.43
Tony Sisk
Guys.

01:02:57.64
Jaime G
If you haven't checked it out, go see it. Let's help push it to the 2 billion mark. So we get another couple more Spider-Man movies out there.

01:03:05.44
Sentfrmheaven
Right. Right.

01:03:07.11
Tony Sisk
Oh, yeah.

01:03:07.64
Sentfrmheaven
Hopefully they don't waste none of that money making flops.

01:03:11.70
Jaime G
No more Morbius's, please.

01:03:14.78
Sentfrmheaven
Right. Or what else? That guy, what's the man that was a hunter? ah

01:03:22.79
Jaime G
Craven.

01:03:24.08
Sentfrmheaven
Craven. Yeah, none of those. None of those Morpheus's or Craven's. None of those. And I like Craven, but none of those.

01:03:28.63
Jaime G
Oh, dude. I actually did see the Craven movie, man.

01:03:30.14
Sentfrmheaven
Yeah.

01:03:33.69
Jaime G
It had parts where you could tell that they they were on to something, but then they just went south bad.

01:03:44.48
Tony Sisk
Yep. All right. Well, it's good to get the get back together and record an episode. you Like said, it's been a little bit. I'm sure the audience has been... Yeah,

01:03:52.97
Jaime G
I've got the studio ready.

01:03:56.69
Sentfrmheaven
Mm

01:03:56.82
Tony Sisk
it looks good. Looking good. Get those guitars hung up and all your posters hung up.

01:04:01.85
Jaime G
Oh, that's that's my rock band guitar.

01:04:07.90
Jaime G
So it's it's it's crazy old, man, but it still works.

01:04:08.47
Sentfrmheaven
hmm.

01:04:12.00
Tony Sisk
Cool.

01:04:12.47
Sentfrmheaven
I see it now. i see the different colors now. Okay.

01:04:14.68
Jaime G
Right? And see how small it is compared to the real guitar?

01:04:16.22
Sentfrmheaven
Mm hmm.

01:04:18.58
Sentfrmheaven
Right.

01:04:20.73
Tony Sisk

01:04:34.48
Tony Sisk

Jaime G

01:05:02.58
Jaime G
I personally have moved all my video game collection recently, and I am glad I have it. Not once have I been like, you know what? Maybe I should have gotten rid of some of these games.

01:05:15.90
Jaime G
No, not at all.

01:05:19.45
Tony Sisk
